What do you think is the link between psychedelics and fairytales?

There's a lot that I could write about this subject considering the mystical and creative aspects of the psychedelic experience, but I was hoping I could get some other people's opinions on this considering there's not much literature about it out there. What role do you think entheogens have played in inspiring fairytales and folklore?

The entheogen are only in fairytales.  Entheogen means to ‘put in the anchor’.  As in throwing anchor out of reality, into Reality.

This is a fairytale beyond your wildest dreams, you think you're a character in it but you're really the author. Relaxation of the mind gives you a peek into this.

Fairytales themselves can act like psychedelics. Creativity, fun and inspiration draws out a lot of unintentional wisdom that could be easily overlooked because it's not presented as such. Creativity is a focus yet also a relaxation of the mind that knows true from false but instead is totally lead by inspiration. The flow state the authors enter can be also tapped into by the reader.

The reader may long after the world that they read about, wishing that they lived in enchantment, but they already do. Words on a page have the power to elicit such feeling and immersive imagination?

Naw....
