Question about DMSA

The formula you gave for DMSA is 30MG x Your bodyweight in KG  -per day - divided in 8 doses ( one every 3 hours ) for 72 hours.

You mentioned that you weight about 170 Pounds ( 77KG) 

So for  you it would be 30 x 77 = 2.310 MG per day. Divided in 8 doses it would be 288 MG every 3 hours. Yet in the clip I linked you say you just take 200 MG every 3 hours. ("  only " 1600 MG per day )

Is there a reason for it besides not having to buy different dosage pills? Would you say that 200 MG DMSA every 3 hours is enough for most people around 65-80 KG ? ( 140 - 180 pounds )

 

Also I'd like to ask if you think it's wise to start with that 30mg x KG formula or would it be " safer "  to start with something more light ? 

Obviously none of this would be medical advide and we take 100% responsability for whatever harm we may inflict to ourselves. 

I'll be doing lots of research on the topic for some time and it would be cool to have some more perspective. I plan to start with just DMSA for a month or two and then gradually get some progressive doses of ALA. IDK if this would be " safer " or unnecesary slowing me down.

The recommended dose is just a rough estimate. And yes, pills come in limited increments so you're eyeballing it. Ultimately I adjust my dose based on how it makes me feel and what detox symptoms I'm willing to stomach.

Of course you can start with lower doses.
