How Is Life Different Than A Dream?

6 posts in this topic

In what ways is your "actual life" different than a dream, especially when pertaining to other people? In a dream the people you talk to aren't real and don't have any perspective of their own. Is that the same thing that's happening when you're awake? (awake as in not sleeping) For example, when Leo is hitting on girls (lol) or shooting a video, isn't he actually experiencing that or do I just think there's some guy experiencing something?

From what I gathered peoples dreams are wildly different. Some have realistic some have vague dreams. Some have simple linear dreams, I have rich dreams with overarching plotlines and characters have complex emotions. Some people claim they are aware that they are in the dream every time. So its hard to pinpoint the differences. Only you can do that from your own experience. If you are referring to ''life is a dream'' Truth then from what I understand you need godhead experience to get it.

Life is dreamlike because in both cases conciousness creates everything. Everbody is you and you're talking with yourself all the time.

Dreaming is the holding of differences.

If you think any two things are different, you're dreaming.

Two-ness is dreaming.

Ta-da!

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

The issue with the dream analogy, is that when you're deluded and think you're awake (like now), you think dreams aren't real and everything in it is bullshit.

Which creates a duality for reality/awake in the traditional sense form dream/asleep in the traditional sense.

On top of that, it creates a duality between reality/awake and true reality/enlightenment, as if what you're experiencing now isn't already the truth.

So it can be helpful as an analogy, but as everything else, let it go.
