Choosing to be Love

8 posts in this topic

I had an epiphanies today. Which were

- To choose something means you're giving up all the other non-chosen things. --> What I've been doing until recently is not choosing anything because I even wanted the things that I didn't chose.

- Leo said God chose Love and not anything else. --> I had a thought which was 'Choose to be Love'.

Now I'm wondering How?

@Frosty97

I wouldn't know how to "choose love". For Love is not something you can choose, or it wouldn't be Love.

Love comes of its own accord. It springs forth from your being and is not subject to "your choice".

Have you ever "chosen" what you do and don't love? Of course not!

Choosing Love implies that there are other things in contrast to that, which are not Love. But all "choice" is fundamentally based on Love.

"Choice" is like preferring the "emptiness of a bowl" over the "bowl itself", not realizing that the emptiness and the bowl are identical.

Love doesn't choose = Love can't be chosen

When you look at the world in such a way that there is no difference between 'yourself' and 'that which is not yourself', you may begin to understand that everything is an expression of Love, including your wondering.

"“What I am really saying is that you don’t need to do anything, because if you see yourself in the correct way, you are all as much extraordinary phenomenon of nature as trees, clouds, the patterns in running water, the flickering of fire, the arrangement of the stars, and the form of a galaxy. You are all just like that, and there is nothing wrong with you at all.” - Alan Watts

It's kind of how lightning chooses the path it loves... if there was something God loved more then THIS, than that is what would be, but THIS is, because THIS is what God loves.
