"Lotus Pose (Padmasana) Cannot Be Done Safely"

I search for information how to stretch and do full lotus pose. Found this video:

Do you use this pose? I can do it but it's I wouldn't be able to keep it for a minute or longer. I have an impression that energy flow is much better than in my usual pose - maybe it's because I'm releasing some tension. It's possible that after releasing stuck energy it wouldn't have such effects. Also stability is super cool but not worth the risk of injury.

Personally, as long as your flexible and your knees aren’t hurting you are okay. 
 

I will look more into it. I meditate these days sitting ? in a chair more Qigong style anyway. Not convinced the knees don’t benefit from no linear stretching 

but will look more deeply
