It definitely can be productive, many forms of prayer are close to or indistinguishable from meditation. It all depends on what kind of prayer you practice and your intention behind it.

@dropthehat Exactly that. Prayer and meditation on some level are just different words for the same thing. Both enhance the mind and open the doors of perception.
