What are the mistakes that ruin lives?

if you lived my life experience you’d be here too.

I used to be the Queen of obsessive thinking about what I didn't want. Rather than worrying about the particularly unique things you worry about, I was concerned with other things and for a time I was a hypochondriac except simultaneously I also had a HUGE fear and mistrust of doctors. Does that sound fun to you? I was simultaneously working my ass off creating an amazing life. But this voice in my head said "Hmm, what would ruin this? How can I secure this? How can I prevent this?" Rather than focusing on health and enjoying health I was focused on illness and I created it and saw signs of it everywhere.

Coming across your threads feels like being a mechanic with all my tools with me on a really cold day and seeing someone on the side of the road struggling to change a tire with those shitty jacks that come with your car. If I stop you're either going to appreciate the help or you're gonna be like "go away asshole." Depends on how much you're actually suffering and how much you actually want to get back on the road again.

I make threads sharing my fears so I’m not alone in them.

Is fear really something worth sharing? Is that really what you want to share? Or is love and healing something worth sharing?

You certainly aren't alone, as I explained above, and your emotions are valid, but there is benefit in knowing what you want, which is to get back on the road again, rather than wanting people to stop and say "Oh shit man, sorry, life sucks" and not lift a finger to help.

I mean maybe I'm wrong, maybe you actually enjoy holding this perspective. Maybe you have NO intent to heal this. If anyone else started this thread I wouldn't have bothered sharing this perspective. But to be honest I don't really appreciate people sharing fear, especially time and time again. If someone is terrified of snakes and they say "Hey let's go on a snake killing spree so we'll never be surprised by one again! Let's eradicate snakes!" I'd advise that that is not the solution.

That’s your projection.

who said I don’t know what I want? I’m literally achieving things everyday here…

lots of other people share my fears. The point of this thread is to get feedback from others on the things to look out for. In order to build something stable I will take note of the dangers ahead.

if I am dealing with psychological problems I’ll post it in the part of the forum specifically chosen for that. If you don’t wanna read that I’m struggling don’t. And I honestly don’t care if my posts bother you because you have the freedom to not read them.

i may feel stuck at times as I work on developing my Adversity Quotient. But, I’m working everyday to improve my life. I don’t need people like you judging me for having fears and doubts. I’m improving everyday.

I’m just gonna keep posting how I want to.

Glad to see how judgmental you are of other peoples journeys.

Your not helping right now. And I’m not suffering right now. Your just being rude. If you don’t like my threads don’t read them.

You are not taking notes of possible dangers. You are creating them.

Avoiding mistakes necessitates mistakes to avoid. Law of attraction.

You could be thinking and writing whatever... Puppies, blue sky, beautiful art and humour. Yet, here you are, thinking and writing about traps, mistakes and dangers. I would say that is the only "mistake you are doing". 9_9

Physically harming yourself. There are also drugs that can permanently mess with your brain and therefore your potential in this life... I wouldn't say anything at all 'ruins' your life indefinitely, but there are a lot of things that limit your potential for sure which you might say is a ruining of some sort but yeah.... popping your eyeballs out or making yourself deaf, there are those kinds of self-harm cases brah

just be here, if you can do it this moment you can do it the next moment

this is the now, now is all that is real, the truth is now, not your concept or experience, just this

is there suffering in this ? work to be done young jedi. me

It’s one thread.

I see plenty of people out there who never think of bad stuff and it happens to them.

I agree with you on the law of attraction stuff but… it’s also a healthy technique to take inventory of what you don’t want to do…

I also admit I have long had anxiety since I can remember.

There literally are mistakes to avoid in life. Like assaulting people, or overdosing or killing someone with your car.

some mistakes come out of no where, while many of them can be avoided by simply noting them.

I’m not intending to dwell on any of the items here or worry. I’m building of list of dangers… because they are real.

To me a limited life is a ruined life. I wanna take this thing as far as I can take it. I’m not interested in just sitting around at a 9-5… I wanna create an impact. I want to express myself in the highest possible way.

I don’t want anything getting in my way. So, while I’m not well known and I’m young I gotta make a list of what not to do.

Especially as you are awakening you can easily misapply spiritual teachings and jump off a bridge or something.

10 + year time horizon. Daily effort.

  1. Believing in failure as a concept
  2. Believing that one's life is (or can be) ruined
  3. Never getting to the bottom of why one doesn't take his/her life seriously (I'm glad I did)
  4. Rather being right than being happy
  5. Not accepting advice that feels uncomfortable
  6. Not getting out of one's comfort zone
  7. Accepting limitation
  8. Not learning to take pleasure in suffering

All mistakes I have personally made by the way. Stopping them un-ruined my life and made it awesome again.

I think failure is a concept. Some failures are good others screw you if you wanna play in the social matrix. Your life can totally be ruined if you end up in jail or get socially ostracized.

But, good list.

How does that paradigm make you feel?

It makes me feel a bit stressed at time, but also conscious.

Like, if you are trying to do a 90 day video challenge posting a video everyday.. and you miss a day you failed the challenge. So it exists.

You can fail a quiz

a relationship can fail

business can fail

etc...

It's just how do you relate and contextualize those failures.

However, its only finite and not a that big of a problem.

Lack of application of things that you are naturally good at. It could be whatever you consider valuable. I mean, idk if it ruin your life the same way heroin will do but it's certanly a pain in the ass when you don't invest time in them for years and you want them later.

Lack of strategic thinking. Giving in into victim mentality. Not asking for help and living in isolation.

Shitty work ethic. Being okay with being complacent and comfortable.
Pathologic avoidance of fear and uncertainty will get you fucked hard.

Being stuck in a rigid routine

Not checking/questioning critical assumptions your Life hinges upon

Not having a vision that inspires you

And so on and so on. What I regret most is not socizalizing NEARLY enough
