Any thoughts on bacoppa monnieri? Specifically for cognitive performance.

It's on my research list for a blog before end of this year. Also curious to see what do we know so far. I'll drop it here if i find anything useful

Nice find, thanks for sharing!

Seems there is a lot of in-vitro data but very few human trials so far. I get this issue every time I try to dig into any of the nootropics. But it seems to be promising for some mild cognitive enhancement

@Michael569 Yep. I was hoping to be able to find something to give me a super brain but it's looking more and more like nootropics are kind of a marketing scam with little data backing up most of the claims. Same with literally every nootropic I think except modifinal and caffiene if you consider that a nootropic. Even lions mane studies kind of suck which kind of dissapointed me. Hopefully more studies will be done in the future.

@Adodd ok so the initial verdict after about 4 hours going through the research is that Bacopa is a waste of money ? much better to grab Aswagandha or Theanine for cognitive boost.

There are a few benefits here and there but overal I remain unconvinced that it is more useful than taking placebo pill

It holds high value in hindu literature. Brahmi is said to be given to kids for memory. Old sages used to eat it for memory so they can remember and recite vedas.
