How can I stop making careless, reckless, stupid decisions?

I have noticed that I don't give myself time to think before I act or speak. I act but don't think through my decisions and speak but don't think through what I am going to say. This has affected me because I have made a lot of careless, reckless, stupid decisions because of my lack of thinking.

@NightHawkBuzz dude, your whole life is one big stupidness ? 

Until people get fully enlightened they are just an expression of ignorance and stupidness to different degrees. So don't sweat about it. If you want to reduce the volume of stupidness in your action, than spiritual practice is the only solution.

Good decisions need some preparation beforehand. 

You have to invest in building up a mental space that is calm and free and having absolute clarity over situations.
