Why not ?

Because we are talking about two different contexts.

I mean the waking state not the dream state.

my mind is gone to a better place.  I'm elevated ..going out of space . And I'm gone .

Well they are the same thing, except you imagine there is a difference, thus there is one xD

On a more serious note, apparently time travel in both directions is possible (in theory). I learned about it briefly from a physics professor when I was in school. I'll admit I didn't fully understand what he was talking about. ?

@BenG
He probably didn’t understand what he was talking about either?

No they are not the same thing. I think this should be obvious enough to point out.

Dreaming. Awake. Neither. Both. And any other combination.

What we call “now” is the unchanging reference point, to which all time is referred. All that came before now, we call the past and all that comes after now, we call the future, but “now” itself, never moves. Since it is now, everywhere in the universe, it is not physically possible to travel to a point that isn’t now, like to the past or future. Only in imagination, may we make such a journey

Space and time, distance and travel, are all in the mind. You're somehow proposing that time is "more" conceptual than space. It's not. It's simply a different abstraction.
