Is Psychology Masters Degree Important or Necessary?

- Is Psychology Masters Degree Important or Necessary?

Long story short, my goal is entrepreneurship; conscious living: life purpose, spirituality and self actualization. Formal educational system I feel like is exact opposite of everything I said. It is indoctrination and conformity. I feel like these people just wanna turn students into unquestioning wage slave meat-robots who will perform their daily tasks without causing any trouble. Honestly, I just want to finish this degree and run outta there. My question is: Can masters degree help me in my aims and in becoming better at my life purpose

P.S. (not to brag but to explain my situation better) I take my life seriously. I am self-motivated, driven, entrepreneurial type. (Again, not tryna look good) I am committed to serious self education, learning, growth, self actualization and transcendence (what actualized.org is about) (what they do in formal educational systems is not education, it is indoctrination, devilry showing itself as truth). Also, I created my life purpose and I am clear about my vision. That is why I am asking this question because people here far are open minded and self actualization oriented, honestly I do not trust these university people because they are bullshitters, saying bullshit with serious face does not make it truth.

If your career goal is to do mental health therapy, a graduate degree in psychology will help. You will need it for licensure, and for credibility with your patients.

However, sounds like you are more interested in spiritual coaching and helping others actualize their life purpose. In that case, the advanced degree is not going to help much.

Just because God loves you doesn't mean it is going to shape the cosmos to suit you. God loves you so much that it will shape you to suit the cosmos.

Thanks for the answer

I'm working for a psychology degree. Probably I will get it by next year. I mean is not exactly a degree but a course.

I think a masters degree is really great if you're looking for a full time job.

It definitely improves credibility and hiring prospects.

Thanks. I am more leaning towards personal development and what@Moksha is talking about. Do you think it would be still necessary?

You don't need a psychology degree for any of this.

You can educate yourself rather than following someone else's curriculum.

@Terell Kirby Agree. Only person who can educate you is you.
