All of the symptoms you describe are a consequence of a society's illiberal attitude to alternative sexual practices not implicit to professional sex work itself. The problem is that many people still have highly conservative/primitive attitudes to modern sexual cultures and the net result is that everyone suffers. The same type of ignorance can be seen in attitudes to homosexuality/bisexuality/transgenderism.

For the record, independent prostitution doesn't just entail vanilla heterosexual in-call work (as you are describing). It also includes:-

• Male/Male prostitution.
• Female/Female prostitution.
• Domestic Out-calls.
• International Out-calls (it's not like a pimp accompanies an escort on a 3000 mile plane trip holding secret video cameras all the way).
• Pro-BDSM work.
• Other Professional / Alternative Sex practices and so forth.

Providing everyone continues to wave the rainbow flag and we continue to promote modern sexual liberalism, then universal prostitution should become a fundamental part of society (along with homosexuality/bisexuality) to the extent that many (if not all) of these unwanted side-effects simply disappear.

(The pornography industry also needs work.)
