Burning Through Karma- Post Awakening

5 posts in this topic

Loved this video @Leo Gura, think its incredibly useful for the majority here, even if you are 'doing the work' doesn't mean you can't also pursue everything else & enjoying all elements of life, its so so so so easy to get narrow minded about Spirituality when you hear how its described in many traditions. (E.g. Vedanta calling the world 'dirty' or celibacy in many traditions)

I wondered on yours (& everyone else's like @Nahm's) views post Awakening.

I know Rupert Spira / Francis talk about this a lot in terms of you then express / live the understanding in all realms of life- Business, Relationships, Friendships, Hobbies etc and you simply do / create what you love and for the fun of it, but from the place of understanding & happiness, not in search of it.

And, of course our very own Nahm (and many LOA teachers) talk about Conscious Creation, designing the life of your dreams, and essentially creating whatever you want.

So, do you agree with Rupert in that after the burning through, the awakening process etc you simply live life expressing this in whatever way suits you and for the joy of it, instead of what most people do- in the search of happiness.

Curious to hear people's thoughts, personally I agree with Rupert, in that some things may drop away, but many may remain, for example you will have relationships as an expression of love, or have hobbies because you simply enjoy them & for the fun of it, but your happiness is no longer dependent on them.

I think the end of this video sums up Ruperts views, when the woman asks, okay, what now my suffering is gone?

'One is always in the absolute state, knowingly or unknowingly for that is all there is.' Francis Lucille.

'Peace and Happiness are inherent in Consciousness.' Rupert Spira

The point of life is express love ever deeper until it kills you.

It couldn't be simpler.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

I don't claim to be anywhere close to being "awakened" (whatever the heck that means anyway... the longer I do this, the less I feel that I know what it means), but watching Leo's vid on pickup, I really wish that I had learned this before embarking on the so-called spiritual path. These days, I feel less sexually assertive than ever before in my life, not to mention that I lost pretty much all interest in social activities such as going to gatherings/parties/bars/dance venues/any place where you could potentially make something happen.

Yeah, I don't know. Part of me is content with just staying celibate and enjoying the peace and quiet of my single life, another part would like to have some romantic encounters before I turn into an old man - which in my case is not that far away anymore. I have no idea how to resolve this chasm within myself... or if it even makes sense to try to actively resolve anything.

Sigh.

I kinda know where you are, I also had similar journey(not saying I have completed or I am infront or anything) but its better not divide yourself into part that are in opposition this divide in long run is gonna cost you more misery and desperation (I hope it wont) if a part of you feel to have romantic encounter then go for it enjoy it find deep spirituality in it. Then when you are old, you can bask in peace.
