You are your body

10 posts in this topic

now you can make a bunch of stuff up but if you look at the situation clearly you will see that there is nothing more to you currently than your body which is producing your experience. You can't escape your body unless you commit suicide. You can only change it and even if you don't change it, then it will naturally change by itself until body death is reached. beyond that nobody really knows what happens. So seeing that you will be your body until you die and if you are fairly young then you have along way to go its best to take good care of it.

or you can call it imagination. I wonder if that will result in a good life :x

You might not realize that you "made up" that you are your body. How do you know that this is your identity. If you really believed that you would say that you become the soil after you die. Why do you think that you don't know what happens to you after you die?

Don't you really believe that you are the experience?

What I know is that the body and God or reality are one. I don't think I'm limited to this body but I know I am not separate from it.

You can have your body dissolve in astral travel,The body doesn't have to be here for experience to take place, I lose near all sensation of body during hypnagogic/image streaming meditations

@WokeBloke are you your hand?  If you cut off your hand, are there now two of you?

When the mother and fetus are connected by the umbilical chord, are there two individuals or one?

Am I my blood? Is my blood 'in my body' or 'part of my body'?

What can be noticed here, is that 'the body' isn't even really a well defined thing, which exists separate from 'that which is not the body'.  If I'm 'my body', then I'm also 'my table', 'my mother', 'my experiences'.. etc.

Nothing is separate because the individual sense of self within the body isn't a real entity.

It claims to be the body and thinker of thoughts but it's not actually there.

No real individual = No real separation
