Isnt that what we are doing to our food? No matter plant or animal?

I have gone to the deep-end with this, and the only true insight I got is, its all consciousness, consciousness is eating consciousness. It had to be like this in the early stages of evolution. Higher states will be different, but in the end, it is the same, consciousness eating consciousness.

is not a slug being eaten by ants, that is our egoic vision. there is no "a" slug. there is reality moving, adjusting, flowing. the slug is not an independent being, it is a reaction, an attempt, a movement. It is the way in which reality manifests itself, balances, adjusts.  

Nature is terrible for your ego, since the ego is precisely a resistance to being eaten by ants. there is nothing wrong with being eaten by ants, except for your ego

The slugs and snails in my garden are doing the same thing to my flowers and veggies right now. And no doubt the ants have bugs which infect them and eat them too.  In fact gardeners do a similar thing with nematodes to kill slugs and other pests organically, rather than use toxic slug pellets. Without our body's self-defence systems like the immune system, we'd be toast in a matter of hours.  What's the alternative, how can life exist without feeding off life?

@LSD-Rumi there are no souls/lives, therefore the process of animals eating each other is just the movement of energy. It's actually most merciful.

It's also really amazing, without the slug's sacrifice, none of this could be, everything is the way it is for a great plan that we are a part of.
