Why most people can’t pursue enlightenment

26 posts in this topic

You could argue that a lot of sensors are good at tapping into the present moment and therefore enlightenment by being more in touch with their senses and that they are less likely to fall into the trap of constantly overthinking things to look at the big picture.

At the same time, an intuitive might have a better shot at reaching enlightenment precisely because of their big picture thinking.

You can reach your goals from many paths, no need to pigeonhole yourself due to your personality traits and build limiting beliefs around that. A sensor's path to enlightenment might look very different to an intuitive's but that doesn't mean that they don't have a path at all.

If you look at mbti, it is split between sensors and intuitives. Enlightenment is by definition intuitive. That means sensors will be unable to access enlightenment. Sensors compromise 70% of humanity, and intuitives only 30%. So only 30% of humanity has a chance of pursuing enlightenment.

You'll never access God Consciousness if you reduce everything to statistics.

Sensors aren’t in touch with the present moment. Rather, they live in the past. They only believe based on what they have experienced in the past, and aren’t good at dealing with abstract matters. Which is why enlightenment is impossible for them.

I already did.

"Not believing your own thoughts, you’re free from the primal desire: the thought that reality should be different than it is. You realise the wordless, the unthinkable. You understand that any mystery is only what you yourself have created. In fact, there’s no mystery. Everything is as clear as day. It’s simple, because there really isn’t anything. There’s only the story appearing now. And not even that.” — Byron Katie

Enlightenment itself is in many ways the opposite of abstract. It's just the thoughts "about" enlightenment that don't follow linear logic, i.e. it has to be intuited. Regardless, sensors and intuitives is not a straightforward dichotomy. You use both functions all the time.
