Meditation Type

5 posts in this topic

I know Leo has videos about different types of meditation, with different benefits, and I should use one that is good for me personally, with benefits working for me. But I think that all of them are helpful in a way. Think nothing to calm the monkey, mindfulness to be mindfull, do not move for focus. But what do you really recommend me?  Should I combine them? I think 1 hours of each Is a lot. (3hours a day). Or what? What's your schedule for meditation? When should I do it? When is the most effective?

How Costa, do you discern meditation from your daily life?

For I see not a single difference between meditation and daily life. At first, make your day supportive for your meditation, and make your meditation supportive for your daily activities and make them one and the same. Here the noble student should put attention to, and concentration on your essence, Awareness that we all are, is not bound to one mind or body, but is at the seat of all our hearts.

Refrain during the day from to much and to little food, to much and to little sleep, wrong speech, act and livelihood, and focus not on time scales, but on the here and now, which is in accordance with your essence, Awareness, the real You. Now, your day = Meditation.

Your meditation, should be focused on your essence, that is the essence of all there is, concentrate on that which is not coming and going (e.g images), strive to find what did not come up, or did not perish, which is Awareness.

You can see meditation and your daily life-  if working to make daily life and meditation into one-  as two dirty hands under a shower of water, cleaning themselves by rubbing each other, until both hands are clean. Or it can be compared to one foot rubbing the other foot when taking a shower until both feet are clean.

And in the end you live a meditative life.

Have you tried the simple meditation technique about breathing ?

For me personally, it quiets me way more than thinking nothing, and it's less frustrating (especially if you're starting).

The meditation is just about focusing on your breath, the feeling of it, of your body moving, and surrounding sounds (just notice the sounds and recenter).

God is love

Whoever lives in love lives in God

And God in them
