For me, personally it's just this bubble and everything else I am imagining. This to me seems to make sense that I am in a skull. OR, whatever.

I would say perspective is a better word than body. States like astral projection, remote viewing, some forms of dreams, states inside your imagination, and some high states of consciousness all can be experienced without a body. We can even experience multiple perspectives at once, specially during certain states of ego death. But, at the same time it's always our own personal " I " that is doing all of this.
