Not knowing

knowing is to fool people that we have something to offer them

i exist, damn it

that's why i type on random threads

do you know what i mean?

The knowing is and isn’t, and it, like everything else, is not relevant, because it’s what’s happening, and there’s nothing else, so clearly there’s no this either, so nothing is appearing to happen, and that’s nothing being everything. Everything is nothing.

"The clarion call of Babaji is to rise from this slumber of ignorance.

The raft of knowledge will take you safely over the stormy waves of this great ocean of samsara.

Therefore, struggle hard to attain this knowledge."

I find this particularly evident when trying to figure out where thoughts come from, or what even a thought is, and also how insufficient strings of thoughts really are for understanding anything.

Intrinsic joy is revealed in the marriage of meaning and being.

Yes, people generally have a hard time grasping this, when in fact it is pretty obvious. The label is being confused with actual knowledge. They think this object, what they call a tree actually is a tree. The real Identity of a thing is being overlooked

Knowing is still the basis of Not-knowing. You know that you don't know. If you truly didn't know, you wouldn't know that you don't know

@Tim R congrats for the mod upgrade bro ?

It feels like there are now more mods than members on this forum

What actually if we made everyone into a mod? It would be like a city where everyone is a police officer. If everyone is a police officer then no one is a police officer

@Nahm what's funny about the statement you quoted?

@Nahm oh OK it's kinda paradoxical.

I thought it triggered you because you always act like you know everything :P

In that state you know that "grains of sand on earth" is your imagination right now.

Or, if you want, you can make up any number you want, and it will be true. The number is imaginary, but so are the grains of sand. It's like asking yourself how many grains of sand exist in your day dream. If you say one million then that is true. There is no external authority.

Not knowing isn’t knowing paradox. The concept of not knowing is thought activity, an apparent idea of some thing. Not knowing is the absence of that thought activity, just as love is the absence of a person. Nothing more, and nothing less.

Not knowing is not knowing there is someone else or an everything.

Nothing more, nothing less. No God consciousness. No omniscient. No grain, no existence, no earth.

Those are all beliefs of “the knower”. Infinite can not know finite. The tongue can not taste the tongue. No mind can not be thought.

@Nahm don't take this the wrong way. I'm not trying to be rude.. It's genuine questions.

Do you consider yourself fully awake?

Do you think you've got it all figured out?

Why are you always constantly correcting everyone as if everyone else is false and only you got the right perspective?  Do you consider yourself an authority?  Do you consider yourself enlightened?

Again don't answer if you like. I'm just genuinely curious.

Yes: Is there a better way to not be a bitch?
Pretending like anything else said here means anything

"God is not knowing", "yoooo is a cat really a cat if you don't call it one", "haha infinite love", "Letting go bro", "Lmao that's a thought, we don't do that", "yeah it's beyond all words woooooahhhhhh"....... X1000
WHAT THE FUCK
IS THIS VACUOUS DIALOGUE
LITERALLY NOTHING IS BEING TALKED ABOUT, TRIANGULATED OR EXPLORED

If not useless affirmation, it's milquetoast discussion of the highest order, which again pretends to be talking about anything.
Repetition of ideology which claims to be beyond ideology, no gesture in the cosmic plane could express my bewilderment

Hark ye yet again — the little lower layer. All visible objects, man, are but as pasteboard masks. But in each event — in the living act, the undoubted deed — there, some unknown but still reasoning thing puts forth the mouldings of its features from behind the unreasoning mask. If man will strike, strike through the mask! How can the prisoner reach outside except by thrusting through the wall? To me, the white whale is that wall, shoved near to me. Sometimes I think there's naught beyond. But 'tis enough.

I don’t find you rude at all. You’re sweet to a fault. Imo these are precisely questions you should be asking.

Do you consider yourself fully awake?

There isn’t a you which has a self, such that that consideration could be made. There isn’t a separate self which you are asking right now, and there is no separate self with some other degree of wakefulness to make a comparison to, or to tell you that what you’re asking is utter nonsense based on believing what you hear and focusing on an answer coming from a separate self rather than understanding the question.

What is ‘it all’, and again, who do you believe there is, which could or couldn’t, does or doesn’t, do this “figuring out”?

There aren’t separate selves. Like, for real. Look at how many beliefs are employed in that question.

Do you consider yourself an authority?

What is “an authority”?  What is a you and a yourself?

5 minutes ago, Someone here said:

  Do you consider yourself enlightened?

What is “enlightened”? What is a you and a yourself?

I don’t mind answering. It’s hysterical.

@Nahm So you are going to boil all down to there not being a "separate self"?  Really?

Ok. Not so holistic perspective.

You are a separate self. You. You. You. YOU. Who am I talking to right now?

The body-mind complex is a self.

I think we talked about it last year.. It depends on how you Define the self. If you define it as a unicorn then it does not exist. If you define it as the body mind.. Then it does exist.

It's not entirely correct to say that there is no separate self at all... It's true only from a certain relative point of view.

However.. Of course in the relative domain there are highly conscious people and ignorant ones.  I'm not going to Learn about enlightenment from a  fucking pornstar for example.  Only from the people who are enlightened.

I haven't met you in real life but I assume that you are more spiritually developed than me. But that's not a safe assumption after all.
