An Ode To Cowardice

Cowardice gets a really bad rap in this world, and unfairly so. Everywhere; in the movies, novels, politics, religion, self help, even in spirituality, the coward is painted as the bad guy. But, changing the world when you have seen a glimpse of true reality is easy. The cowards are the true bad asses of this world.

The coward is so invested in his conceptual self that every moment of the day he can be destroyed. A simple social conversation might annihilate him, a simple rejection can feel as he is solely responsible for the total destruction of the fabric of infinity itself. Because that is what we really are; the fabric of infinity. And out of its kind heart, infinity hides itself in all these conceptual objects for amusement. In stead of ridiculing people who are stifled by fear in midst of a clash between concept and truth, they should be commended for their perseverance as the defenders of concept. Concepts which are expressions of the universe. Walking around all day with the weight of these concepts is no joke. Its like walking around in weighted clothes all day, every day, and around every corner there can be a zombie who wants to eat your brains. And these are the running zombies, not those weak shuffling ones. Try running away from a running zombie with weighted clothes on, every day, that shit will wear on you.

And what does our so called “brave” society do? We condemn these souls, we call them weak, we spit on them. We design our society in such a way we subtly eliminate cowardice. Looking away from reality is something to admire, because we are all condemned to return to Truth eventually. And what would have happened if there had never been any people clutching to their false concepts? This world would never even have existed. By shitting on cowards, you shit on this world, you shit on yourself.

Look at Gandhi, he acts like he’s all that when he’s got the truth of reality backing him up. A man who knows infinity has got nothing to fear anymore, there is nothing admirable about that. A man who knows infinity can not be destroyed, he is not a man anymore, he is infinity itself. All the people out there who think they are hot shit, who think they are brave and cool. Guess what, you ain’t shit without the true warriors of this reality: The cowards.

@NTOgen Yes it's true. Even though my topic was intended as slightly ironic. In the way of that people are very quick to judge people who do not seem 'brave' in the eyes of society but having an ego is in itself is a very brave thing to do. We look down on people who struggle with anxieties and fears and we give them no sympathy. And people who struggle with these problems simply don't know how to get rid of the fears, because the fear is rooted within ignorance, within ego. The best thing our society can come up with is useless psychotherapy and drugs, always drugs. Society is not willing to look at the core of all personal problems carefully, because of ego. The collective ego has too much invested in this game to give itself up.
