@Nahm There's no need, I have myself

This is why I can't agree that impulsiveness is pure authenticity because if it's so, does it mean following your values is the opposite of pure authenticity?

How do you define authenticity at all and why you connect authenticity with impulsiveness?

Being authentic is not just impulsiveness, there are other things that come into it. But impulsiveness is purely authentic. Impulsiveness is just spontaneity by a different name, it's no different. Would you agree that spontaneity is authentic?

To me authenticity is an ideal you hold yourself up to. That ideal is to express yourself in a natural way that aligns with your emotions. Impulsiveness is just a simple expression of your emotions without logic and thought behind it - it's authentic.

impulsiveness is the fake you, the one that buys goods at the mall and the one that says unkind words to people online, and then says what possessed me

the false self is what possesses you ... it is you plus your conditioning

the true self is the authentic you ... it is you minus your conditioning

@LastThursday If the definition to pure authenticy is the first thought you come with (and other instincts that biology programmed us with) or the first action you take, then I can say that impulsiveness is pure authenticity.

But I think that authenticity is some higher true, beyond our animal's first instincts. Maybe combined with them but isn't them absolutely. So I would say that impulsiveness has some rough true but not a pure form of authenticity.

@gettoefl Yes, I think you brought good examples.
