Thoughts are a compulsion to interpret reality and be able to adapt to it, but they are not the reality. thoughts can cease when you see what is unnecessary to interpret, when you see reality for what it is, something without meaning. As long as the illusion of meaning exists there will be thoughts to interpret it without stop.

No meaning? Then why do you think everybody is searching for the meaning? Seeing reality as something without meaning is Nihilism. The Truth is that reality is filled with meaning.

One could just as easily ask "why do you think everybody is searching for the meaning?" as a response to the statement that all there is, is meaning. Same thing.
