I always wanted more deep topics. There's no limit how deep we can go and I am happy that I am far from it :D

This is truly inspiring and fits my current direction pretty well! Thank you!

Of course! Nobody would make an anime about striving to achieve mediocrity, would they? But people nowadays tend to be more than willing to do so.

This is very cult-like of Leo. There he is ranting against cults and ideals, and yet… Here he is, trying to cultivate a certain type of ideology? Now granted, I know like all self-help or self-actualizing leaders, he’s in the in the business of herding people towards a specific point; the idea that you’re already there isn’t in the cards for this type of business. But he’s idealizing the so-called “sage” and putting their asses on a pedestal. They’re still human – they still eat, shit, and die like the rest of us. Just because they’re charismatic, have built their mental fortitude/stoicism up, and are maybe a little radical, doesn’t make them the perfect person.

He tried to call me out in the video, too. I already said not to take what I said on this forum seriously, because there’s nothing serious about it. I’m a “newbie”? A newbie to what, exactly? I’m not practicing to become other than what I already am. I’m not auditioning to be a “sage”. As the old Zen saying goes: "Before enlightenment, chop wood and carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood and carry water." If you want to become a fucking Buddha, then go for it, man! If you want to develop some kind of compassion for people, then props to you! But I don’t think you really know why you want to do this shit, other than it’s something to do, and it’s kind of cool. It’s no more noble than just being the enlightened guy working at 7/11.

Now Leo, before you get mad at me, I do appreciate the work you have done. You're a really wise guy, and have helped me tremendously. But I think I have the right to respond and calls it as I sees it, no?

At what point did he try to call you out? Have you considered, that you might be projecting?

I think striving for sagehood in the relative world is the finest idea and don't see at as a contradiction with there is nothing to do and you are already whole, because that means that you can do everything, and then why not shoot for the stars?

Though one thing @Leo Gura, disabling youtube comments, how come?

At what point are thoughts not a projection? What does it really matter? He called me out and called me a newb, I kindly question his stance in retort. What else am I supposed to do? Not say anything? What fun is that?

@Frogfucius Maybe it was you he spoke of...but maybe not... Leo could have been talking about any of us when he made that comment.... I've probably made a disheartened post at some point too...when we fully absorb how extensive the "illusory nature of our reality" is....it's pretty easy to get frustrated with having to live in this often total BullShit - materialistic, ego-centric realm! That's all he meant (I think)... it's better to keep raising your consciousness and evolve to the point where you can tolerate the BullShit, then to get fed up with it and abandon your progress....As for weather or not taking the Mystic-Sage direction makes this a cult, I don't know...If he wanted us to all become his devotees, that would be a big yes....but so far, I feel his approach is the opposite...encouraging individuality,  free thinking, questioning everything, etc....I thought about your "newbie" concern too...it's up to you to determine your own level of consciousness, nobody else is in your head...personally, I'm stoked on being a newbie....all the more levels of consciousness to experience and explore...for me, I will progress beyond newbie, only when I've surpassed a number of my more significant neurosis...lol...

@Martin123 I don't know this Anime, sorry....but Howl (Howl's Moving Castle) seems like he could be a Mystic-Sage if he could surpass his lingering broody neurosis, and excessive collections of trinkets (like me)...lol....watching the movie, I've felt almost as if I was in love  w/ Howl...lol...and yes, I know that's ridiculous...he's technically just a series of drawings...lol...

@Frogfucius I do not recall him saying that "Frogfucius from the actualized.org forum is a newbie" or anything like that. The things he spoke about are quite generic in this forum. For whatever obvious reason you are making it about yourself.

If he hasn't actually called you out then you're definitely projecting.  I just had Adam from PsychedSubstance call me out, specifically my alias in his video with my question that he answered. lol.  Rather than rejecting Project Sage outright, why not let it happen & see where it leads?   I haven't seen Leo trying to build a cult, unless you already consider Actualized.org a cult.  Osho had a dark side according to the wikipedia & there were some fanatics around him that seemed to think killing people, to preserve the ideology, was ok to do.  That's probably more inline with some government policies.

I see it more as an Osho "equalization"...rather than having one figurehead, we have many that become one.  That could transform the world.  If it's just one, like Osho had, well once he died, it didn't lead anywhere.  Still, we have his books.

@Epiphany_Inspired I was actually going to make that post, regardless if he called me out or not. But since he did, all I did was add an extra paragraph to the post.

Here's the thing: You're already there. You want to become a sage? For what purpose? Because it's cool, maybe some money involved, you think you're some zenned out mother fucker. It's all egoic purposes, even if love and compassion are involved. I'm not condemning it, sages are pretty cool. But let's not put their asses on a pedestal and think that way of life is inherently more fulfilling than, say, the enlightened guy working at 7/11. Life is life - why put layers of concepts and bullshit and think it's the best way to live? If that 7/11 worker is happy, why bother thinking he'd be better off as a sage?

Nothing against Leo. The dude knows his shit. But I realize this is a business, he's trying to make money, so preaching "That's it! You're done! Things can't get better from here!" aren't in his cards. He'll continue to move the goalposts backwards. More meditation! More contemplation! More reading theories and cramming shit in your limited brain!  Yeah, those things can be helpful to calm your mind down, but there's no endzone here. No touchdown to be made to win the game. Pretending there's some "Truth" here to find, and that you can somehow find this "Truth" by sitting still for several hours and staring at a wall, is purely mental masturbation. Let me know when you find this truth - I'd love to see it.

I don't think even enlightened people would be content with working at 7/11.  Rali over at Naked Reality states he is enlightened and his purpose of producing Naked Reality is for the purpose of making a lot of money.  However, without a collected body of knowledge, other than some details about getting enlightened, what else would you teach?   The enlightened guy working at 7/11 doesn't contribute to humanity.  It's a life of self-imposed poverty with long-term health and money issues.  Overall, I think it doesn't matter if you are enlightened or not, there will be necessary reasons to live a life with higher quality.   Also, it seems you think that being enlightened is an endpoint, whereas I think that's just the beginning.   I'm not even sure such an enlightened person exists: one that works at 7/11, unless that is a job in retirement after a life lived doing something else.
