Total apathy when my wife is out of home

4 posts in this topic

My wife had to travel for her business and now I'm spending a week alone.

I love cooking and when my wife is around I tend to prepare delicious foods, for me and her.

Now that I'm alone I fall for easy fast food and dont make efforts to cook great things, just because I think I wont share my dishes with anybody else and cooking just for me dont worth the effort.

I see that Im falling in a negative spiral of bad habits, the bad cooking with oversleeping and lack of a schedule of habits, a total mess.

When she is at home she always reminds me hey its getting late let's do this and that, but alone I lose the sense of time and my life is a disaster.

You're in the habit of having her to put in place the structure that you enjoy. You can do it for yourself, just first you have to realize that you need to step up for yourself in that way. And now you have. :)

Great awareness. Take charge. I feel that she is replacing the role of your mum somehow? All of us have an inner child that needs to heal. Be the parent of this inner child. If you can't do for yourself right now, think of you as a little boy who is being neglected and not looked after very well. and do it for him! Re-parent yourself. I hope it helps;)  Let me know how it goes.
