Are These Glimpses Of The Ox?

15 posts in this topic

I'm currently experiencing these moments sporadically.

Example 1: I look in the mirror and I see my body, and it seems so obvious that nobody is there. It's a bit of a "Wow" moment and I realise that I just so happen to be operating this body. The idea of my name and all it encapsulates is so obviously see-through, in this moment. It's as if I'm just here. That's it. I just so happen to be here and I'm aware of it, and that's all that exists right now.

Example 2: I'm walking around the kitchen, preparing dinner, and it hits me. I see there's another person to my left, and I know I don't know them at all. The idea I have of them is a total fiction from this perspective. They are just operating a body, just like I happen to be. Then I'm like "how is it possible that I'm even here?". And it's another "wow" moment. I take in the fact that I'm in a house with this person who I have known all my life and it feels like I've never even met them, and I'm kind of like "what is this place?". I see the dog looking up at me and it doesn't feel like a dog in my mind. It just feels like some kind of magical creation.

That's the best I can describe it. The second example happened just now and it felt a bit scary. It was like everything that had happened in my life up to this point didn't matter and it made no sense to operate from the perspective that it did matter or that it means something. It meant nothing in this moment and kind of vanished. In fact, it was scary. The awareness I had of, "holy shit. How am I here? How does this exist?" etc was rather astounding.

@Bazooka Jesus what up, homie playa? All good, my friend. Hope you are well. ?

I've been eating quite a bit of rocket recently. Some hippie kid sold it to me at the local garden centre. Streets, man. Needless to say I've been catapulted. Is this the stoning of which you speak?

@PlayOnWords It's either that, or  you've spent too much time sniffing your worn socks after the gym... :DxD:DxD:DxD

Either way, good for you! Nice progress, I'd say. ??

@Bazooka Jesus awfully bold and kind of you to assume I go to the gym. I only smell my socks after masturbating into them. Good shit.

Thanks, man. ?

Maybe? I'm not an expert but it sounds like it's pointing to something.

That's nifty and all, but not even a glimpse of the Ox's tail.

Catching a glimpse of the Ox is no joke. It's about as shocking as getting your balls groped by a ghost.

You’ll catch a glimpse of the ox’s tail when you least expect it.

But don’t worry, you won’t stay shocked forever. In fact, if you’re wise enough, it will help mature you immensely.

Personally I wouldn't call this glimpsing the Ox. I'd call it seeing through the Matrix.

The times I've had a glimpse would be characterised by an event or moment that lasts a fraction of a second and it shocked the shit outta me. I can't describe the characteristics of the event, other than something being realised, like the answer to a question that I didn't ask, and then intense feelings of joy/disbelief and blubbing.

A few hours later I was concocting some story about it that I could tell my friends. In reality it was ineffable.

Divest from the conceptual. Experience the actual.

@PlayOnWords

You'll be scrambling to find the words to describe it, and everytime you try to describe it, it will slip threw your fingers.

An empty mind cleared of thoughts, and a heart wide open to what is so. So empty that there is not even a thing that is empty, so open that reality melts into your core.

The how is what you build, the why is in your heart.
