Meditation method to detangle your mind.

2 posts in this topic

So I have been experimenting with different meditation techniques lately with varying results. But there is one technique I find super practical and useful, which has direct effects on your consciousness for the rest of the day.

I call it the "assisted thought awareness practice".

Here is how it works: You just sit down and meditate. But this time you have a journal or a piece of paper in reach. And every time you become aware of a thought rising up, you just write it down. It's important that you write everything down, which fills your consciousness with mental images. Everything.

After 30-40 minutes, you end up with a list of totally random thoughts. There are so random and aimless, that you intuitively start to question the bullshit your mind throws at you. This also kick-starts your appreciation for just being, instead of mentally masturbating about the concepts of being. Also, every thought you wrote down seems to be "exhausted" and won't suck you into it more. This is especially useful if some thoughts are plaguing you.

This practice could be best described as a clean mirror to the face of your unconscious mind. For the first time you see what garbage has been sold to you as "your thoughts", with whom you can't identify anymore.

It is good to eradicate thourghts, but the most profound way to do it is, by entering samadhi states of consciousness. Samadhi is also referred to as “concentration”, and it bring the senses to a complete still. That it may happen through a state of bliss and divine love.
