Is zeolite toxic?

3 posts in this topic

In the upmentioned topic, there's a link to the article where the guy debunks zeolite industry.

https://www.naturalnews.com/051805_zeolite_myths_heavy_metals_removal_daily_detox.html

I've read of wonders that zeolite does but this post makes me think twice...

For example this article gives you a big promise:

https://www.oneorganichealth.com.au/Total_Body_Detox

...however, that isn't an independent source so how could I trust it

Even @Leo Gura had written about the benefits of zeolite in topics on DMSA.

How do I even check (more question about epistemology) whether his methodology is legit? I am not a chemist and it would take me a couple of od days just to recall chemistry basics.

Besides: I also feel that my introspection skill is weak - how would I develop it? There is so much overwhelming information on the internet.

I would be grateful for some hints. Thanks

Zeolite is inherently dirty because it binds so well with heavy metals, but there are processes that can be used to clean the zeolite, freeing up the binding sites.

You can ask the company for a coa, certificate of analysis, to see the levels of mercury lead arsenic and compare it to safe levels.

Bentonite may be a safer alternative. Not as strong, but not as dirty either.
