Shambhavi Mudra

10 posts in this topic

I've heard a member of this forum talking about Shambhavi Mudra and was wondering if anyone can share their experiences using this technique. I have personally begun this practice but experience severe nauseating and excruciating headachey pain in my forehead but at the same time experience a profound ineffable feeling, quite similar to what Leo describes in his most recent video

The symthoms are normal. It takes some months to get the hang of it. I have 5 years of experience with it. For me sitting meditation is shambahvi mudra and listening to breath.

My advice is to do it lightly, not looking up with the eyes very far back, gently start to look up at first, and get comfortable, increase the position of the eyes up only if it doesn't give you nausea.

Important to focus the attention on the heart and forhead sometimes.

It can be done with eyelids open or closed. When i'm in public i close my eyes and look up, because people who are not familiar with this, tend to freak out.

This technique is like Sungazing as a parallel. We increase just a tiny amount each day, the position of the eyes up and the duration of the meditation with the technique.

@Goldzilla Thanks man. Your support and advice mean a lot. Can you elaborate upon sun gazing? It seems idiotic to me, but I thought that about this possessed-looking meditation technique and I thought wrong.

Sungazing should be done 1 second first day and increase by 1 second each day. Do this first hour when the sun rises or last hour when the sun sets. Is a way to dissolve faster the old, to have clear vision etc. It will open up the traumas very fast, so caution on doing it fast. Do it progressively. I reached the feat of sungazing about 40min after a year of progressive practice, second by second.

Doing Shambahvi Mudra and getting it proper and with practice, will open up the system and forhead/heart. One will have no need of external drugs, only if you want to get low.

Cause this technique i can assure you, will skyrocket and change everything you knew before this technique.
