Actually...

5 posts in this topic

As we all know, a lot of nondual followers believe that we can never die because we're not even alive. We are both Alive and Dead. So how would we die? How would we even kill ourselves? Are we going to reach out with a knife and stab our Awareness? Where will we stab? But if we don't know the nature of our 'aliveness', how do we know if it'll ever come to an end? If things will ever change from an absolute sense? Will the lights ever turn off completely? Or configure into something else? Anything could happen in a flash.
Late night thoughts guys.

Ohh stabbing, no, not a healthy train of thought. Inner violence is bad for the mind. I once played World of Warcraft, a game in which you endlessly fight with almost everything else in the world (except for questgivers), it was very unhealthy.

In terms of whether aliveness will ever come to an end, no I don’t believe it will. But the question is, will you still be who you want to be? Your spirit could be transformed or poisoned, or twisted by the world’s bad impulses which it carries within it.

And anyway it is morning over here.

Yeah Leo, he is a real character. Somebody did a thread of summaries of a lot of his videos, I have been working my way through that, it’s kinda interesting. Shorthand for watching for 1.5 hours a pop.

Anyway my point stands, be careful what you stuff into your brain, you may find it coming out of your mouth again after a little while.

There is a precedent for this, ie what was my awareness or aliveness like before I was born or even conceived? Mind you, my earliest memories only go back to 4 y/o so it's a hopeless quest. Do babies even feel alive until they develop a sense of me & other?

People who believe in reincarnation usually follow up with an explanation that most of us forget our previous lives unless we have hypnosis or advanced spirituality.

I do think however that the quality of consciousness is related to the physical form, humans are different physically to other animals, so our consciousness is different. If inanimate objects like crystals are also conscious, it will be different again. The question is, what if anything is the feeling of "me-ness" which endures changes in forms?

Relax, it's just my loosely held opinion.  :)
