How crucial is dress and fashion in pickup?

I want to get into pickup. I feel like I have a good sense of style, but my wardrobe definitely does not reflect it; quite frankly, I'm cheap and so I just wear casual and simple clothing all the time.

As someone who is starting out, is a wardrobe overhaul really something I need to do? I've heard "women don't care about looks" more times than I've had hot dinners and I've personally seen guys with appalling fashion do really well with attracting women, so I feel like it really isn't necessary if your game is good. But mine isn't.

Necessary? or not?

Stop listening or watching anyone that gives of this terrible advice. Combined with strong character, enhancing your appearance can littely 4x your success in attracting women i've went through it personally.

Best tip about fashion is to first build a good body, (decent muscularity, no belly gut or noodle arms ect) and then wear pieces that fit. Finding good styles is the easy part turing your body into something that looks good in clothing is where the real energy goes to.

It is necessary? No. But you'd be a fool not to grab such low-hanging fruit.

It's always best to dress presentably. You can never go wrong with dressing well and it's a fairly easy goal to accomplish. 

Cleanliness is a must but precision not so much. I've been with men who obsessed over their appearance more than some women I know and it turned me off. Perfectionism is not very attractive. But dressing well and expressing your own individual sense of style which seems to reflect or match your personality can be very appealing.
