Inspiring Documentaries on Conquering Difficulty?

11 posts in this topic

I’m looking for inspiring documentaries of people overcoming difficulty and transforming their lives in the end.

The theme I’m interested in:

  • Being unconquerable
  • Going from darkness into the light
  • Being the captain of one’s own ship
  • Resiliency
  • Determination
  • Pulling oneself up by their bootstraps

Any suggestions? List as many as you can :D

David Goggins. No documentary yet i think, but enough stuff of him on YouTube and he wrote a book. If he doesn't inspire you, no one will.

Thanks for the recommendations @Intraplanetary@Shiva99

I am mainly looking for a movie or documentary of someone struggling a lot at first but overcoming it and coming out on top.

There are plenty of interviews and clips on YouTube. Goggins is exactly what you are describing. Maybe he just doesn't resonate with you. Why does it have to be a documentary or movie btw?

@Bob Seeker

I'd recommend "the dawn wall", even more insane and inspiring story than free solo. Free solo is basically a freak show :D both are great
