Why Do i Feel Intestinal Blockage After Eating Bread?

8 posts in this topic

Lately i haven't been eating bread that much. But when i eat large quantities of bread, i notice that the next day i feel some sort of blockage in my intestinal organs.. It is super weird.

Yesterday i ate a lot of white bread (>200g) and then the next day i was feeling quite uncomfortable just below the belly button. It was a feeling of something being stuck there... Even after 16 hours of eating i still felt that blockage sensation. Also i didn't defecate that day. I think the bread is responsible.

Why is that happening? Can someone give me an explanation?

- Thank you!

It's probably because wheat flour based products are terrible for you.

This doctor is legit.

Wheat is also one of the first things Leo recommends giving up, did you happen to watch How To Shop For Healthy Food?

Because grains are full of gut-wrecking anti nutrients.

Processed grains are giving an issue to a lot of people. The bread today just isn't what it used to be. As a born easter European, the type of bread I used to have as a child is nowhere to be found anymore, at least not here in the West. It has been replaced by this weird 50-ingredient mess.

There are better, more whole forms of bread made of gluten-free grains but if it gives you issues, replace it with some of the gluten-free whole grains. Grains are always best eaten as close to their whole form as possible.

That’s your body telling you that bread is garbage. Valuable feedback. The body will give you that feedback with anything that you put in it. Learn to read those signs.

@SQAAD Try to increase fiber from vegetables if you do have white bread to help move it along the digestive track. the lack of fiber is what causes that constipation since white bread doesn't have the natural bran to move it through the intestines. Water helps too.
