@Preety_India I think the last time we talked.. Knowing core values is one aspect of self.

Knowing values..

Knowing one's self-beliefs..

Knowing self-love..

Knowing self-care..

Knowing one's personality..

Knowing one's trauma..

Knowing one's strengths and weaknesses..

Knowing one's love language..

Knowing one's interests..

Knowing one's attitudes..

Knowing one's disinterests..

Knowing one's goals..

Knowing one's past..

Knowing one's body..

Knowing one's emotions..

Knowing one's self-talk..

List goes on & on....

... Created another mindmap that explodes the entire self-concept. I could nearly create a course with all the information I've gathered..

I find that the more you talk to different people, the more you know thyself.

Because books and tips only get you somewhere. For example, books teach you to speak in a powerful way if you want to portray confidence but if you are talking to people for first time, you just tend to sound weak. Only when you interact more, your voice become stronger.

@hyruga So book smarts (knowledge) vs direct experience?

Or is this like the difference between thinking vs feeling. Fully knowing the self is only possible via feeling states..?

Having direct experience in relationships reflects back ourself?

Could you elaborate further

Yes. Direct experiences matters.

I have also done deep contemplation and shadow work before. You can also have thinking and feeling when you are doing shadow work. So there are various ways to get to know thyself including getting into a relationship.

My experience would be I tend to sabotage myself a lot when speaking to others. So doing reflection after the conversation also helps.

For example, I was speaking to a manager from another department. I ask for her name. She gave me the name. I didn't say mine and just say okay great. (Very dumb to ask someone for their name without stating yours)

Another time was I was talking to this new girl. I finally talk to her but it was a bad time as she's leaving the office. I told her my name and told her to have a nice day. Later, I realised I still don't have her name lol.
