Leo, have you done no-fap?

@dflores321 @Harlen Kelly No so here's the thing, you guys are just assuming things. Yeah, many people start doing nofap as a neurotic behavior, but with time it becomes less neurotic, in the sense that you won't feel the need to repress it all the time for the benefits, but rather you'd choose  to not fap because it just feels so good not to waste that energy. Every day I feel energetic, clear minded, enjoy the little things, view people differently, help me connect with my inner self and my truest desires which were hidden by the sexual thoughts. I really like living like that. Personally I don't believe that liking a tit post and seeing hot women is a no no, but more like watching porn. Yes, because it affects the brain and really slows my growth down.

Yeah alright you can say that it is neurotic because I'm using "restricts" on myself and that the true way is just getting those results from a non neurotic way. But still, you want to accelerate your growth, no?

Do you realize that I can say the same thing on meditation? Then why the fuck do you meditate? You know the benefits, and so you have your routine... And you know that it will shoot your growth so you do it. Honestly try to see what I'm saying and look into how they are not so different. Telling someone to nofap and telling someone meditate come from the idea that it will grow you a lot and so you begin by getting really into them until you love them and then it's just natural and fun

@fopylo You meditate because meditation makes you more conscious.

Sexual repression does not make you more conscious. Which does not mean or imply that you have to fap uncontrollably, it just means that the act of restricting sexual expression does not lead to psychological development.

In fact, the least developed countries and nations are the most repressed sexually and the most advanced and progressive / liberal nations are the most open sexually. Why do you think that is?

As humans become more developed psychologically they don't become more restrictive with their sexuality, they become more open.

@Harlen Kelly Notice how you use "repression". When you started meditation didn't you "repress" your thoughts/feelings/desires/"negative" emotions?

You need some kind of restrict for starting to get going, especially if you're not God conscious or some shit. Dude you could literally say the same thing about eating healthy (probably an even better example) because you "restrict" yourself from shoving junk food into your system. But you might say "but I don't feel like eating junk food. If I feel like it then I won't suppress it". Well then, I don't feel like masturbating. Actually I do have a desire for sex, but sex, not simply masturbation.

Anyways, if it is neurotic then why should I repress the neurosis itself? It will just go spiral of neurosis

@dflores321 Are you still an adolescent? You should not be ''retaining'' semen at that age, that can be potentially damaging.

@fopylo Answer this question, why do nations become more sexually opened as they become more advanced and developed? Why do you think that happens?

If I am not getting my dating life together and am directing my sexual energy to pornhub, then how will I start actually getting laid and having success in dating?

Exactly! Being God conscious is an ideal that will take years to reach, but for the meantime the least I can do is at least this - save and redirect my sexual energy towards Being, relationships, workout and more. Day 205 baby ?

It's all about raising the quality of your sexual energy, go from pmo, to sex with women, to more intimate deeper sex with a loved one, to fucking yourself forever hehe ?.

Alright mate, so this is the plan: Raising your sexual energy from no fap - directing this energy and using it towards relationships which will eventually lead to sex (it also helps with reducing anxiety and building confidence) - then direct it to more deeper sex which is almost spiritual - and then I'm sort of "free" and not so affected by the outcome of jerking off by myself. Is this right?

Nofap will not lead to psychological development. You will not become more conscious by virtue of not fapping. By the way, guys who are successful with women, are usually very comfortable with their sexuality, therefore, they don't practice ''no fap''.

But if you think no fap will fundamentally help your growth, go ahead.

Many guys had success with women because of nofap

Don't talk down like that. It certainly did help my growth, and not everything needs to raise your consciousness to evolve you. It can simply be a stepping stone

Transcending sexuality can be done in many ways, one of them IS actually through conscious repression.

What does it mean to transcend  something?

Theres a difference between a guy who feels bad after seeing a gangbang orgy video and just stops touching his sin parts, and someone who meditates, exercises, contemplates, and focuses this sexual desire onto other parts of his life.

And by the way, I do both but mostly try and redirect the energy. After around day 100 (for me) the shift happens and doesn't change that much, but still sometimes repress lightly, because honestly, I prefer the latter

@dflores321 So then there's nothing unique about transcending some specific aspect. When you transcend, being feels better and so you transcend everything basically. So it is futile

At least in Nofap I don;t constantly feel I have a flu, and dead head. I even feel strange around my throat when a binge occurred.

However, I still stand by the troubleshooting effect that porn does provide for you.

A few possibilities; it is damaging because the perennial muscles that contract to ejaculate sperm tightens gradually, it is damaging because there is sexual repression, and it is damaging because you are conditioning yourself in the wrong time.

Interesting, didn't consider that

I'm actually curious on why would Leo allow people from no fap, or people who are felibate here, when he himself shown little interest in such movements? If he's not going to try it out, and report back, why let people here just talk about it?

@Peter Miklis i used to think the same way. In fact it was my heavy religious upbringing that helped create my porn addiction starting in my early teens.. The act of masturbation itself is not bad. In fact in many ways its healthy when done the right way. Its natural. However, porn can cause alot of psychological problems when one is addicted. This isnt comming from a moral standpoint but rather based off of recent studies on the human brain. Tube sites were created in the late 2000s and since then the amount of young people claiming to struggle with erectyle dysfunction has sky rocketed. The problem with porn is that it release insane amounts of dopmine, more so today because of unlimited access to HD porn at the click of a button. In the past, the only pornographic material available was through magazines and adult video stores. It was alot more difficult to become addicted... Now we have access to it whenever we want, wherever we want and its totally free. Sexual energy is one of the most powerful sources of energy we have available to us. So when we are constantly wasting it to porn and jerking off multiple times a day, over time, it can cause depression, social anxiety, lack of focus, energy, and lack of creativity. People in the nofap community simply take it too far and become religious about it and obstain from sex completely and avoid ejaculation for weeks/months or even years at a time which is completely rediculous.. Porn is the problem, not sex or masturbation. Porn makes you obsess over sex to the point where it become more difficult to get shit done like starting a successful business or just being creative in general. Sexual energy IS creative energy. This energy is what gives a man his confidence and charisma/charm. Its what gives men the ability to attract sexual partners in real life... when i was addicted to porn i was so socially anxious that i had trouble making eye contact. I became incredibly awkward around women and felt like an overly emotional little bitch. On top of that my dick stopped working. I stopped pursuing women out of fear of not being able to perform. I slowly became an incel not because i wasnt physically attractive, women tell me all the time how good looking i am, but they would get turned off because of how awkward i was. I became depressed and suicidal because i couldnt figure out what the problem was. Then i realized i was completely addicted to porn since i was around 14. Jerking off multiple times a day and binging porn tube sites for hours a time... After i quit, which took me around 2 years of relapsing i finally started getting noticed by women again. My testosterone levels began to skyrocket amd women couldnt resist my energy. Ive been getting choosing signals left and right especially at the gym. Prolonged eye contact and staring. Checking themselves out in the mirror right next to me so i notice and approach them. It feels surreal because for so long i just thought i had no luck with women when all along it had to do with severe porn addiction.. It just made me awkward, depressed, and emascualted. Sure, there are some people who can watch in moderation and thats great, but for me i couldnt. Giving up porn has changed my life.. Masturbation isnt necessarily a problem when done in a healthy way. By that i mean fantasizing over past sexual experiences. And not jerking off multiple times a week. Nofap and abstaining from all sexaul stimulation is a little over the top, but theres no denying that Porn is a huge problem. Theres a reason why so many people are struggeling with depression more now than ever before.

@Peter Miklis

right. So you agree with the nofap movement which is essentially practicing non-attachment to porn and/or masturbation.

I'll side with the nofap camp here. Porn and masturbation are not high conscious activities nor aligned with high conscious values such as wisdom, self-control, and observing present moment. It invites players to engage in fantasy and delusion not realize and be with God lol.
