Hormones are essential to health. I never realized how crucial they are to almost every organ in the body, including the brain. Hormones are involved in executive cognitive functions, wound healing, energy levels, metabolism, and aging.

Men focus only on Testosterone; there are master hormones that regulate a wider array of functions in your body than testosterone.

The most important hormones are probably Insulin and leptin.

Other hormones:

  • Estrogen (MEN LISTEN!) too little estrogen causes erectile dysfunction. You need optimal levels of estrogen.
  • Cortisol is an anti-inflammatory hormone and is essential for waking you up in the morning and regulating the sleep-wake cycle. It needs to be high in the morning low at night.
  • Growth Hormone
  • Norepinephrine

 

Take this seriously, if you want to understand and optimize your health. Hormone optimization is ESSENTIAL.

If you're interested in this stuff definitely look into pituitary hormones and the function of hypothalamus in hormone regulation. That's where it all starts :)
