Does anyone have opinions on ACIM? Especially the parts about problems with EGO.

ACIM introduction says it all. The ego is unreal, and therefore presents no ultimate threat.

Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.

Just because God loves you doesn't mean it is going to shape the cosmos to suit you. God loves you so much that it will shape you to suit the cosmos.

This book ACIM is one of the hardest ever self help books to read.

Respect for anyone who can finish it and point out the difference between this and that of Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung. And also that with Christian scriptures.

I think someone should do a ACIM  book study ?

What kind of study do you have in mind?

I've read the ACIM text multiple times and completed the workbook twice and i am still unable to make any kind of study about ACIM...

@Bojan V check out the one I started on The Book Of Not Knowing... (its in eternal limbo right now, though there's always the chance of resurrection?)

I suggest not posting excerpts from the book, since that's illegal ?, but give us a section to read and then we all discuss it and apply it. Could just post one chapter a week, or small sections of the chapter broken up over the course of a week. Would be important to set a thread rule of NO Arguing. We should only discuss the book from direct experience, and make it a group meditation not to parrot.

There could also be a sister thread where we log our workbooks online.

@seeking_brilliance Well the thing is i study and practice ACIM in slovenian language. And even if in english, i wouldn't know how to post it here.

Also i consider myself a beginner on the ACIM journey, even do i finished workbook the first  time in the years 2006/7. For now i will just practice it on my own.

But you've made some good sugestions about how to study it. I have to think about it.
