Why Can You Transcend Ego?

Why is this supposedly possible? I'm perplexed.

It is more of a realization than a transcendence. You aren't defeating the ego, so much as seeing it for what it really is. And when you do, you will laugh

Why should a human?

When you realize there is no difference between you and rock, you got it.

The idea that a human should have a self is the dumbest unquestioned idea of all time. It's just so dumb when you think about it. Why would anything have a self?

Obviously nothing has a self.

Leo still have a 'self' though it may be more mature than others. As far as I can tell anyway. 

But, I mean... if one rock it blue and one rock is green is that the self? Idk

Selves are imagined by The Selfless Self which truly is what you (deep down) are.

Asking "Why?', pre-supposes there is a reason "why". If the mind believes there is a singular reason underlying "why", it will be perplexed since there are many forms of "Because. . . xyz" to answer "Why". Any answer is partially true and will open up new questions. A mind stuck on a singular "because" will remain unsatisfied and perplexed.

For example:

Question: "Why Can You Transcend Ego?"

Answer: Because the Dreamer of Egos desires to recognize itself as all Egos.

This is one answer of hundreds that is partially true. Yet a mind seeking a singular answer will be unsatisfied and start asking all sorts of questions that highlight it is not the one true singular answer. The closest to a singular answer would be "Because______", yet the mind won't be satisfied with that either.

@Moksha  So a possible reason I am having trouble defining ego is because I haven't yet enlightened myself enough to see what what it really is. Is this to say ego may only be able to to be truly understood through enlightenment & any other definition is not true in absolute?

⚡ The moment you realize who you really are, the ego dissolves. It is nothing more than seeing clearly, within the dream. The ego thrives on specialness, and awakening is the opposite of specialness. It is convergence. Your eyes open, and you see the sameness in everything.

It is all Consciousness, manifesting itself in myriad ways, but always the same Consciousness. There is no "better than", no "worse than", no "transcendence", and no "defeat", from the ultimate perspective. Only creativity, expression, art, storytelling...all within the relative dimension of the dream. The dream is born of you, and as such is part of you, but ultimately, you are the infinite, changeless Dreamer of dreams.
