What are the least well known political issues?

@Blackhawk excellent job on your research.  You made very informative responses in this forum.

The neutrality argument does not hold up when you take into account the secret alliances Sweden has in spite of its professed neutrality.  If Russia knows about the secret alliances, Sweden could guarantee defense by joining NATO.  Swedish neutrality can get very ugly if it helps both sides in a time of war.  Sweden can't be neutral if it helps other countries kill more people.

I don't see any more potential downsides to address.  The country needs to let go of its false neutrality if it wants to help protect the countries it protects anyway.

All Social Democrats support Imperialism because their economic system requires it.

@Husseinisdoingfine I am trying to imagine what kind of economic reforms would be necessary in order to stop imperialism.  what exactly does the social Democratic economic system look like?  If the social democrats depend on imperialism, then what would an economy look like without imperialism?  What economic system can we envision that would stop the exploitation of third world countries?  What would it take to implement these changes?  How long would it take to achieve This new system?

This issue seems challenging and I am left with a ton of questions.  I need a better education on economics.

@BipolarGrowth I never heard of the possibility that psychosis could be a good thing.  people with these mental disorders are easily demonized as they end up in prison without their spiritual development.

One thing related to this issue is how anxiety pills are designed to suppress anxiety.  The alternative is to frame anxiety as a good thing as in some situations it makes us more alert and more active.  Anxiety could help us if the issue were framed in different way.  This is a recent development in the field of medicine.

A lot of the more severe episodes of mental illness are like intense growing pains. Consciousness is taken to extremes which may be unpleasant or literally the cause of an awakening event completely sober. Anyone with strong mental illness is exposed to different states of consciousness through this. The illness can work synergistically with consciousness work, making various practices far more potent or effective. The route of substances for awakening becomes especially potent in some cases as the brain’s chemistry is drastically shifted due to psychotic episodes fused with awakenings which stretch the capabilities of the brain into new frontiers for the individual. There are times I have taken one or two hits off of a THC vape pen and had experiences more or as potent as trips such as on 6 grams of shrooms or 10 tabs of LSD. My manic brain has way more ability to generate hallucinations than many psychedelics for me. It has given me some of my highest consciousness states fully naturally even without any techniques to trigger such states. It’s really quite amazing what the brain can already do on its own and how much chemical training can amplify its innate abilities to be able to perform even when any external chemicals are not added to the system. All of this has lead to permanent spiritual abilities which most people would not be able to believe.

This may not be lesser known, but there is a dark side to today's current feminist movement. The world-view is based from trauma, not from truth/love

things like "i hate all men" , "men are rapists", "men objectify women", "men are the problem in society", "men are weak, insecure, little boys"

I see it a lot on tiktok, i was shocked at how many people buy into it. you can have videos like these that garner millions of views and likes. but then again, millions of views/likes is still a minority if you consider the entire western world. It's like casual misandry.

i heard a perspective though that was like, this is a step-up from inequality that women have experienced but there are more steps to this process where instead both parties come together and work together out of love.

@Jacob Morres I know what you are getting at.  I make the distinction toxic feminism vs. Evolved feminism.

The mainstream media leans toward toxic feminism and is bought into the narrative of women overcoming oppression.  Men's rights are seen as less significant and frequently ignored.  Evolved feminism recognizes that gender equality is impossible without addressing the unique ways in which men and women are oppressed.  This is why man hating and inappropriate use of the term "mansplaining" are not feminist principles.

toxic feminism leads to a disregard for men's rights and a lack of empathy for those falsely accused of rape.  This is related to how The educational system is disadvantageous for boys because of the difference in preferred learning style.  The narrative of women overcoming oppression becomes problematic and one sided.  I can share some examples of evolved feminism.  These are not the mainstream views.

Conservatives are reacting to the dark side of modern feminism.  Without appreciating the unique oppression of men and women, feminism becomes hypocritical.  Even feminist forget that men and women are supposed to be equal.  Feminism is not that women are superior.  Here is toxic feminism.

I found a rare issue regarding the legalization of prostitution.  Prostitution is illegal in most of the United States.  Most people are concerned that prostitution is immoral and leads to health issues.  If prostitution were heavily regulated, it could counter intuitively protect some women from more dangerous forms of sex work in the black market.

Nevada is currently the only place in the United States with legalized prostitution.  If these laws were extended to other parts of the U.S., It could help reallocate police resources so they are not arresting otherwise innocent people through offering drugs and sex while under cover.  Parts of the police force could become redundant with the legalization of prostitution as well as psychedelics.  This could improve funding for social programs to prevent crime.

I find it interesting when I notice rare connections to mainstream issues.  I think it helps me see the world from more unique perspectives.

Should we legalize prostitution?

Either make it legal, or make all porn illegal too, because otherwise it's inconsistent. It makes no sense that having sex for money is legal as long as there's a camera recording it (porn).

That is a good point.  This is a contradiction in sex work.  Porn is so popular and easy to access nowadays that I don't think making both illegal would be feasible.

If I were to go in the direction of regulating sex work, then some porn would be illegal.  For example, there are human traffickers who profit off of porn sites.  There have been some attempts to regulate porn by requiring a licence.  This would be useful because there is otherwise too much porn being posted at once to be regulated.  This leads to women being beaten and raped for a profit.  (This could be the argument for criminalizing porn.)

In order to maintain both as legal, they would have to be better regulated to prevent sexual abuse.

@trenton Yeah, so yes buying and selling sex should be legal. I think the law is there only because many people look down on people who buy and sell sex. They think it's disgusting.

And I don't believe in the human trafficking thing. Trafficking exists in many many jobs, so why aren't those jobs illegal then? And why aren't porn illegal then? I don't think human trafficking would increase if buying/selling sex would be legal.

@Blackhawk it looks like human trafficking comes from poor regulation.  People are at risk of human traffickers if they sell sex in the black market.  It could prevent some from becoming victims of sex slavery through legal sex work.

I will now name a few examples of trafficking.  Drug trafficking, sex trafficking, and organ trafficking are a few I know.  Others forms of human trafficking include child labor, child soldiers, debt bondage, forced labor, and involuntary domestic servitude. There could be more forms of trafficking you know that I don't.

Domestic servitude is a big issue in Africa and the middle East.  It is possible in the United States if somebody is exploited through child marriage.  If women travel to dangerous parts of the world, they could have their passports confiscated and they could be forced into slavery.
