In search of living Taoist / Kriya Yoga teachers [Requesting recommendations]

5 posts in this topic

Hi friends,

I am looking for great living teachers in the traditions of Taoism or Kriya/Tantric Yoga teachers.

Ideally someone with extensive practice and teaching experience, who has a solid conceptual and experiential understanding of the teachings. I’m not interested in scholars, but masters who walk and teach the road towards awakening, self-liberation, or however it’s called in the given tradition.

Would highly appreciate your recommendations! Thanks in advance!

Hi efleson,

I have had couple of online lessons with Richard Freeman and Tias Little. Both are great yoga teachers, suggest to check them out. Not sure about the Taoism though. Additionally, I've been recently using Innercraft. Even though they don't have teachers in the traditions you have mentioned, they have great teachers from Rinzai Zen (Meido Moore), Sufism (Shaykh Burhanuddin), and Theravada (Tina Rasmussen). I like that all teachers provide very structured and in-depth meditation video courses for both beginners and experienced people. (promotional link removed).

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

That's a pretty wide spectrum. For Kriya I recommend Forrest Knutson, an ordained kriyaguru in the Panchanon tradition. He has many videos on YouTube in addition to in-person initiation and teaching.
