Eating unhealthy foods during a celebration

4 posts in this topic

Is it okay to feast on cake, pizza, chocolate and the likes, during a celebration? I have one coming up in a couple of days.

Or is eating foods like this basically equivalent to injecting poison in yourself? I read somewhere that "Sugar is not a treat, it is poison".

It's been around half a year since the last time I had the above, however my overall diet is pretty boring (it's worth it though).
I also don't have any cravings for the foods mentioned, would eating them once make me crave them later on?

Don't ask us for permission. Reflect on how you want to live and what boundaries you want to set. That is not for us to decide

Is eating unhealthy food supposed to make a celebration better?

Letargy doesnt sound like a lot of fun to me.

If it feels right, I think celebrations are perfect times for stuff like that. Often I only get into trouble if I keep the leftover celebration food around after and get in the habit of eating it. After a couple days of eating too much sugar and I often get hit with this horrible mood. If it's just a treat, it doesn't happen and I have no regrets whatsoever.
