Today I cried

7 posts in this topic

Heeey yooo

WTF happened to me today?!

I normally meditate 30 mins daily but tonight I got an exam so I felt nervous today so I decided to meditate for 1 hour to deal with it and this happened:

I cried like a baby about after half of an hour: I fell at peace like never before, I realized all the self doubt, worry about my future, depression, rejection and everything means nothing because I always can go back to meditation. When I realized that, tears came to my eyes, I was very peaceful and I fell at peace like never before.

Omg what was that? I have to ask you advanced spiritual people cause I am a beginner. I feel like so much alive and ready to face all my obstacles in life but not in
a warrior kind of way like I CAN DO THAT, more like I am ready in a very chilled way - at least right now, I hope this remains some time. Is this even possible as a beginner or do I overestimate it? At least I felt so peaceful, I can say that...

@JJfromSwitzerland Yup that can happen, it's normal and good. That's the power of meditation^_^

Your true nature is peaceful and happy, but veiled by the constantly chattering, doubtful, anxious, attached and dissatisfied ego-mind. So when the mind calms down, your true nature reveals itself to you.

It might, but not for long. The more you cling to it, the less you have it. Your true nature isn't clingy, so to desire this state of consciousness will only get in the way of it actually happening.

So here's what not to do: meditating in hope of attaining or regaining this state of consciousness.

Keep meditating, but don't expect this state to last longer or to come back once it's gone. If you're going to meditate, meditate for meditation's sake.

crying is one of the best spiritual practices, it is a very effective way to get to no mind, words are gone and you are just a vulnerable child of god utterly lost in the moment

Alright, thanks for your info
