Space Being an Illusion

But guys when we say it is a field, or like empty space, or like "it actually is 2D", we're still assuming that there is something. And perhaps existence is both something and nothing.

It is all to easy to get hung up on the word illusion which has connotations to each of us who reads the word. Perhaps consider it to allude to space as not what it seems. We have confused ideas of what space is eg some may view it as the distance between objects, others may also include an idea beyond this which considers objects as also occupying space, and yet others may consider it as that which, in "opposition" to these 2 views, is that which "holds" objects and actually serves to join these rather than separate them. However one views it the notion of space acts as a context for objects to appear within ones visual field, and what if space were considered to be akin to a transparent object which permeates all objects so completely that space and objects were not different? If space is truly infinite then how can objects appear as distinctions within it? When someone meditates and stills the chattering mind, and a "sense of infinite space" is apparent, could this be a conceptual mimic of what is a confused evaluation of ones visual perceptual field?

Space is not what it seems.

Here is one example of illusion.   Look at the space in your room right now.  Do you experience it as being still and the same space?  Well we know it isn’t because the earth is rotating at 1000 miles per hour.  If you could measure the space you are at by cartesian coordinates centered on some point in the galaxy you would see that what you are looking at as an unmoving space is actually continually changing.

The human nervous system was evolved to survive and thus is not necessarily accurate.  Accuracy is not necessary for survival.  It would not improve survival to be able to detect the constant motion of the earth.  Our nervous system filters out this unnecessary information.

You mean there is no me other than the One, as the separate ego me? Because what the heck does you don't exist mean really?

I was talking about the conceptual self.
