World Class Economist?

I am going to become a world class economist, as it's my life purpose. However i was wondering if any of you guys have any suggestions about which people I should look up to as role models to become a world star economist?

I think you should focus on what you want to do with econ, not being "world class." That's coming from a place of being above others rather than focusing on what you want to create and contribute. A healthy life purpose doesn't involve serving your self image like that. See what I mean?

Even if it isn't completely your intention to come across in that manner, your wording suggests that on some level you are doing this to stroke your ego. Try reframing it to something like " I want to develop a deep understanding of free market economics and use my knowledge to create a higher standard of living for others."
