If you say you are god, you are not. Because, it comes from the mind and you are attached to still identification as calling yourself as “god”, “universe “, “Nothing” or “infinite “. Only way to be IS ( No thoughts therefore no identification) just “silence” just “Be”.

Unfortunately not. It is just a thought, as “yourself” or “pissing the pants”. Way of the Dao is the now, the moment not a thought process.

@James123 I don't quite agree. Maybe you mean the right thing, but formulated it the wrong way.

Can't I say "I am"?

Because I know that I am. And to say that "I am" doesn't change anything whatsoever. So, he who understands, can talk. He who doesn't understand can also talk, but he doesn't and won't understand.  When I truly know, I can talk, because I also know that it won't make any difference. I can be and talk. 

To say that the only way to be is to be in silence is attachment to silence.

One could say "every way is the only way".

This all becomes very clear if/when it's recognized that there's nothing you do in the first place, other than 'be yourself', and you're always doing that, without trying.  Consider: How hard are you trying to be yourself right now? Well, you're not trying at all.  You just ARE yourself (no matter if you think you're some individual locus of attention, or the whole Universe), in every moment. 

Recognize that 'trying to be like yourself' and 'trying not to be like yourself' are the exact same thing.  They are both 'what you are doing', which is 'being yourself'. 

Everything is happening, and nobody is doing it.
