So the keyword is evolution. You could say that everything has been said.
From our low perspective, the biological, material, as it is with us, thousands of years of our evolution have been summarized by the aforementioned Yuval Noah Harari in his very good book "Sapiens - From Animals to Gods". It's hard to disagree with him. There you can add Aliens as a factor to speed things up if someone is more comfortable with it. It doesn't really matter. Everyone can see the result.
Mystics have long looked from a broader perspective. It is enough to reach for their wisdom. If someone needs a compact compilation, I have no hesitation in saying that Leo Gura synthesizes the "broader perspective" remarkably coherently in the way Harari does it in his book. This is how I see it. If someone thinks I'm licking Leo by comparing him to Yuval, that's too bad. But that's how I see it.
In sum. We know everything. From a broader, nondual perspective, this reality is just a hallucination, a hologram, so there's nothing to worry about. Everything will be fine in the end. If it doesn't, it's not over yet. It smells of optimism, which is hard not to get infected But it does not solve the problem at all. This "low" reality of ours, whatever one might say about it, is what we have. We have no other. It is, of course, a component of a much larger picture, but of extremely important importance. This is ours, kindergarten, our elementary school, or as Thomas Campbell (creator of Big TOE) says, a low entropy trainer for our consciousness. He called as he called. These are just words in the end.
But if we don't get down to work on ourselves, the hallucination will soon turn into a nightmare. It has happened many times in our history, only this time it is not this or that civilization that may become extinct. This or that is gone. Now it is one global human civilization connected by a network of dependencies like never before. With a global population increase of around 6.9 million per month! Considering what we are doing with our planet, it seems the snake will eat its own head in a moment. Ouroboros cycle is about to close to restart from the beginning.
Because, to quote Albert Einstein, we will not solve the problems at the level at which we generated them! And it's not about the level of technology. Everyone can see that it just doesn't work. How Mr. Elon Musk offers $ 100 million to anyone who develops a technology to remove CO2 from the atmosphere means that he has become so "wise" that he ceases to understand. It is enough to stop cutting down forests, including mainly rain forests, for soybean cultivation, to powerfully feed cattle, so that we can screw our hamburgers. CO2 is also a food for plants, it is an essential component of the photosynthesis process taking place at the quantum level, which provides us with oxygen. You just need to really stop cutting down trees and planting them. But it won't patent and sell it with multiple profits... Technology is not a solution. The only salvation, the only solution is the evolution of consciousness on a massive scale, which is of course, at the moment, wishful thinking. Everything indicates that once again great confusion will be our epitaph. The global strange loop is called Absurdistan. It grows and loops more and more every day. Will one ever escape this maze of one's own stupidity?  An open question...

I will add something else from myself. Personally, I think that a whole lot of civilizations like ours are evolving in the universe. But only a handful of those who have realized at the crucial moment that without spiritual development, without the evolution of consciousness, there is simply no, absolutely no chance to go further ... and they understand that until we understand there is no how to help us.
Simply put, the true evolution of global civilization is a fucking difficult process that only very few succeed.

And now I encourage you to get creative. What needs to be done to, for example, realistically limit the production of plastic packaging?
What is so unusual you have to do?
Think. Because from a bit higher level, many pressing problems have fucking simple solutions

I also strongly believe that the real change will start with us, the little ones. Not from governments or corporations, but from slowly growing grassroots collective aid based on awakening Understanding. We do it here in Poznań where I run my business, these covid days. Small entrepreneurs are slowly beginning to understand that they can, de facto, only count on themselves. Where understanding and compassion overcome selfishness, real miracles happen. The rest, even the most skeptical ones, begin to see that it is easier together. At every level. Because good really works! And even if we are fucked on a global scale, nothing better is left to do in the time we have left, but to do good, ignite understanding in others. Believe me, it gives you such a positive kick that you know that nothing is impossible:)
