Filling the void

2 posts in this topic

My wife has recently fallen sick,  basically I have gone from husband to primary care taker. I work from home full time and don't get to see anybody but my wife especially during Covid. One of the things we used to enjoy together was over the weekend was having a few beers and watching a TV series together. Basically she goes to bed early and I'm stuck on my own. I have to say, it's kind of depressing. I am 43 and I was thinking a solution would be to get into gaming. I would really only be able to do it on my iphone with a Razor controller. The problem I found is no game seems to hold my attention and I get little to no enjoyment out of it. Can anyone recommend a solution to fill the void? Or can you recommend some iOS, Stadia games that will keep me occupied during this time?

That sucks dude, I hope she gets better and for you to have a more fulfilling life. I don't recommend gaming as a form of escapism at all. But that's my personal opinion. I'd say, get out of the house when she's asleep, walk/drive around town. Clear your head. It's also healthy to get some fresh air and to move your body to get your blood circulation running. Read a book, listen to relaxing music, and stay strong. That's what I can think of off the top my head.
