Help needed. Tips on deciding career needs/ social needs during this pandemia

4 posts in this topic

Hi

During the last months i've been struggling to make up my mind on what to do on this issue.

I am conscious of my future need of taking some language courses to secure my job in the upcoming years. Those courses are about 3hs a day monday to friday. I also work full time as a first line responder in this issue with the cover.

A few years ago i managed to take the very same schedule in spite of being  a total craze of a life..with no time for eating properly, resting and no social life at all.

Now I just feel i am no capable of it again. I realized that i have barely any friends or social life and this extra effort makes it even worse.

On the other hand,  due to restrictions..there's no much going on socially over here..so i guess it would not make such big difference investing 80% my time on job related issues.

I am really lost about what to prioritize right now. JOB-BASIC ECONOMIC NEEDS FULFILT IN THE FUTURE VS.SOCIAL INVESTMENT. I feel i cannot do both at the same time!!!

Thanks for ur help.

Does your heart say anything?

What would love do?  What would wisdom do?

Sometimes, if i focus on the area just below my belly button (i.e., my center of gravity), that is where I've had some answers come up which I think relate to being more balanced.  It's like there could be a link between physical balance leading to emotional and mental balance, which is a better place to think or make decisions.

A technique i sometimes do is rock front to back on my feet, trying to feel where the mid point is below my belly button.  Then rock side to side and do the same thing.  Then concentrate on the point where the center point of the two axis meet in my belly (i.e., my center of gravity), and then ask it a question and wait for a response.

@ertopolice The more you want something, the more you push it away. Act and think as though you already have all you need. You are already doing this but in a negative way. You say to yourself: "I am struggling, I need this and I'm missing that." Your thoughts are creating your reality. When you want something, the universe says: "okay, you want this." When you say to yourself: "I am struggling," then you create your struggle. Your thoughts create your experience. Pay attention to how you talk to yourself.

Start using "I am" statements and let go of "I want" or "I need" statements. The latter are statements of lack (future oriented), where the former is a statement of what is (Present/Now). The present is all there is.

Also, I recommend watching Leo's Blog Video called Requisite Variety and Creative Laziness. It's on page 7.
