The Dogma of Consciousness

It, sure, is a dogma for many people.

If you have no confidence in yourself, you are twice defeated in the race of life. But with confidence you have won, even before you start.” -- Marcus Garvey

The dogma of consciousness is dogma, actual consciousness is not dogma/belief

Hello my Friend:)

Try this:

"Not very conscious"
"He's lacking consciousness"
"Is this a conscious thing to do?"
"High consciousness"
"Low consciousness"

Not very true
He's lacking love
Is this a good thing to do?
Higher perspective
Low instincts

Still a dogma?:)

"High consciousness"

"Low consciousness"

Sounds familiar?

More consciousness, more, more, more! It's so funny. "Consciousness" has become the holy word, the teaching, the dogma. The ultimate goal. The standard by which all can be judged.

Always seeking for more. "Deeper insights", "more insights", "more consciousness", "higher levels of consciousness" than everybody else.

Such a silly game.

Keep playing it, it will lead precisely nowherexD

it contain some truth. consciousness shouldn't always be an aim. mechanics also required. People will think by becoming more conscious they will be loving, pure, all knowing. no consciousness needs mechanics. consciousness and mechanics needs to be integrated.

Anything becomes a dogma if you are dogmatic about it.

The problem is not the thing itself but how your mind holds it. And a dogmatic mind will hold all things dogmatically, be it science or religion or spirituality or even nonduality or love. And even -- drum roll.... -- being nondogmatic.

In a delicious irony, the dogmatic mind will turn being nondogmatic into a dogma!

Dogma gonna dog :D

what's wrong with s dynamics?

On this forum it boils down to snobbery.  Green > Orange/Blue.

Good old fashioned class snobbery with a "spiritual" twist, but really it's NOTHING NEW.

"we're better than THOSE people."

Yeah, veeeeeery spiritual. 9_9

@blackchair Be careful. Being surrounded by people does not automatically make you nondogmatic.

Plenty of people develop no-mind but are still dogmatic.

The problem is that an empty mind does not guarantee that when your mind starts turning it doesn't turn out shit.

Emptying your goldfish's bowl does not guarantee him what he really needs, which is clean water.

The opposite of dirty water is not no water, it is clean water.

@Air Keep it up and you'll be kicked from here.

Be here to learn. Not to spread your ignorance.
