You can’t develop consciousness. It is what it is, and can’t be changed.

Then be that.

Intrinsic joy is revealed in the marriage of meaning and being.

If you loved everything equally, unconditionally, you would become the Godhead, which means you would be dead and without form. Sounds like a good payoff due.

Isn't that the case right now? It is natural state.

I can't love everything and everyone. There are some things I just don't like, and certain experiences that I don't enjoy. Certain foods taste bad to me, certain music just doesn't sound good, certain people I just don't get along with, etc. And although dislike is a natural thing that I don't think I should be afraid of or ashamed of, the act of disliking something seems to be at odds with the goal of believing everything is love, feeling oneness and seeing the beauty in everything.

Connect to being. Recognize that these things you dislike are creations/forms. Their existence shows that they are Love.

You don't have to love anything. You can however recognize that it is good because it is already here. Notice any judgement. If you are familiar with meditation, let go of judgemental thoughts and focus of the being/form that is in front of you. You can start to appreciate its existence and you can acknowledge that your understanding and perspective is limited. ime, I can start appreciating something that I dislike by recognizing its beauty, by filling my heart with gratitude that this thing is here in this existence, that it teaches me about this apparent human condition. Connect to being and see that you don't have to love anything.

When you look at a human being, do you see the human or do you see the being?

If the former, of course there are humans you will like and dislike, because humans are all different manifestations.

If the latter, there is only love, because beings are all the same Consciousness.

Spot on.

@Vibroverse What you're describing is the "what", which I understand. It's the "how" and "why" I'm lost on.

@Moksha I love this! (no pun intended, of course) xD

@lmfao I'm struggling to reconcile what I've heard in Leo's videos and in all the general spiritual material I've come across, and the honest feelings of dislike I have. Sorry if what I wrote came off the wrong way, but this post is not about repressed anger or anything like that.

Well you love to dislike those things, don't you?

Also u love to hate and to have fear because u "think" it's the best u could do, don't u?

What is the point of loving what serves your ego's agenda? To love the easy stuff, the pleasures and the great and amazing things of life? Of course that is easy! The real point of love, is to love the hard stuf! The same way if u go to plane simulator you won't have perfect weather conditions and automatic flight assistance just by pressing a butto, what sense that has? U will have an engine crash or hard weather, extreme wind, are all of those together... Because that is the point of loving, to love the easy and the hard, so that u train yourself to love as much as possible in this life. It is better to use shoes than to carpet the world. This life is about loving, the more u are able to love the happier u will be.
