Please Critique This 1 Year 5-meo-dmt Enlightenment Plan

7 posts in this topic

In Leo's 5-MeO-DMT video he suggested that with 5-MeO-DMT (and meditation, self-actualization, self-inquiry) enlightenment can be obtained in a year.

I plan on achieving enlightenment by 22 and would appreciate review / guidance regarding the plan below. I'm ~18.5 so I have 2.5 years to prepare.

My current relevant results:

  • Meditated for 20 minutes daily and consecutively for 1 year.
  • Had 2 profound enlightenment-like glimpses / insights with psychedelics that raised my consciousness permanently. My results, values, habits, motivations, etc changed radically.
  • Have done intense self-development for ~2 years. I've done almost no self-inquiry work or reading on enlightenment (except for "The Power of Now" and Leo's videos).

The Plan

Years 18.5 - 21:

  • Meditate for 20 minutes daily.
  • Read Leo's books on consciousness, spirituality and enlightenment (~30 books, +9,000 pages).
  • Sit alone in a room and do completely nothing at least once a month (I did it once and lasted 5 hours).
  • Questions:
    • Will this be enough to use 5-MeO-DMT to help trigger enlightenment?
    • Should I deliberately practice surrendering to psychologically / physically unpleasant experiences? I know I'm not ready to psychologically experience my own death. I would be self-deceiving if I said otherwise.

Years 21 - 22:

  • Meditate for 60 minutes daily.
  • Do self-inquiry for 180 minutes daily.
  • Take 5-MeO-DMT once every 2 months. Contemplate experience / insights, integrate book knowledge into trip experience. Repeat until I take a 30mg dose and reach enlightenment.
  • Questions:
    • Should I do more meditation / self-inquiry work? I know more is better but it has to be sustainable so I need to set a limit and spend time on my finances.
    • Will 5-MeO-DMT be still available in 3.5 years? Right now it's suspiciously easy to get legally in certain countries (and cheap) considering its power. I also can't buy it now because it has a 2 year chemical stability.

@Beyond Words Well the dope wont be easy to get and cheap now the cats out the bag.  Leo has half a million followers and I imagine 5% of the are going to try to get their hands on the stuff - it's going to go viral!

Pile it up while stocks last lol

I would include self inquiry into the first stage of the plan. Just introduce any amount, it doesn't have to be 180 minutes daily like the second half.

I don't have any experience with 5-meo-dmt, but I think it's a good plan and it would set you up real nice.

Not bad imo. I'm a beginner on this spiritual path and I do about 20-60(at best) mins of meditation 2-4 times a day + reading watching books, video, courses on enlightenment. Despite not having a major breakthrough over the past 2-3 months, I feel it shouldn't be rushed. Whether it takes 100 years or a day, when the time's right it'll come. Don't overdraft yourself on this journey, be okay with where you're at now.

Of all the people in the world who have consumed 5-MeO-DMT how many became enlightened, in absolute numbers and in percentage? Of all the enlightened people you know how many have become enlightened by using psychedelics like (5-MeO) DMT for example?

It's almost zero.

Sure, but how many of those people have studied enlightenment intensely, meditated and done proper self-inquiry work for years? I'm pretty sure that those who have obtained enlightenment through this approach had a much different process in place than those who failed. Statistics hardly say much considering all of the variables involved.

Having a plan is fine, but don't be attached to it, life doesn't work by scripts and you probably will change your mind.

I find the more I progress, the more I want to meditate for example, whereas I had trouble doing 1 hour before, I can now easily do 2 hours in a day. That would also be my critique point, of course to each their own, but that seems like very little meditation, might want to try to spike that up. Also strive to practice mindfulness during the day.

I would also recommend practicing connecting with the deepest feeling you get that is your guidance system from the higher consciousness, also sudden inspirations are something to really pay attention to. And also pay attention to the synchronicities, which you might find clarity through as well regarding life choices.

And the book I would recommend the most is Conversations with God, by Neale Walsch, free to read online.

Sorry I'm sounding semi-jehova, but this is the best advice from my view.

Why not release right now? You are now grabbing on to this list of things to do in order to be happy. You are pushing off what can only be done now for another few years. The time you are planning for is not guarenteed. Also, there isn't anything you can do. You are just sitting here playing more games with this. Release the need to do something. Don't chase enlightenment.
